Lynn always had a plan for her life from a very young age. From the age of 12 she knew she wanted to go to law school. In 2005 she moved to Tallahassee to attend law school at FSU, and graduated in 2008. She then got a great job, got married, and life was going perfectly according to plan. Her sister would invite her to City Church events, and she would attend ones like Christmas on the Moon and Easter at the Civic Center,  but she was convinced she knew everything she needed to know so attending those events didn't have a deeper meaning.

Within 2 years of the marriage, Lynn and her husband got a divorce, and she soon lost her job after that. Life seemed to be crumbling before her. Her sister had moved to Jacksonville which left her without a support system in Tallahassee. She started attending City Church every now and then but was still skeptical and felt like she still had control over her own life. In April of 2012, Lynn attended Easter at the Civic Center and could tell something was different. By the end of the service, Lynn had given her life to Christ.

For the first time I was’t afraid, I just sort of let go of the sense that I was in control..My sister took my hand and we walked to the back of the room to pray. It was such a freeing moment because for so long I felt as though I had everything figured out, and realizing I didn’t and embracing that was life altering. I’m no longer at the whim of my own happiness, instead my hope and my joy is found in Him.

Lynn is now.....______
