One of the greatest issues facing the church today is biblical illiteracy and irrelevance. In other words, many in the church are not familiar with the Bible, and even if you grew up in a local church, you may not have been taught how the individual stories of the Bible fit together as par t of God’s overarching Story. Additionally, you may not see how your own individual story fits into the bigger Story of God. As a result, the Bible is seen as a series of stories that took place thousands of years ago but has no bearing on your life today. From January until Easter, we are confronting the issue of biblical illiteracy and irrelevance by looking at the biblical Story as a whole highlighting the major themes and events, and describing not only how they fit together but also how YOU fit into it.
