His answer reveals how often we find ourselves doing something the old way, just because "it's what we've always done", rather than looking at why? What Jesus brings is new life and a new way that's incompatible with the old. His words here also reveal a new bomb-shell concerning His messianic identity. Jesus is the divine Bridegroom.
