In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, many rural areas in the Florida panhandle face great devastation, with very few resources to begin rebuilding and recovering their communities. City Church will serve Quincy and areas of Gadsden County through service projects such as tree removal and debris clean up. Through our partnership with Send Relief, we are also contributing financially to Bay County and the coast of Florida, and individual efforts to serve these areas exist as well.
The following community partners are in need of supplies to continue serving hurricane victims.
A Women’s Pregnancy Center | Please deliver items to 919 West Pensacola Street
Diapers size 1-5
Rutabaga Cafe | Please e-mail email@example.com for donation directions
Propane tank refill for sustaining efforts to make and distribute meals for Gadsden County
Specific food items (send e-mail for list) needed for Gadsden County food assistance efforts
Every financial contribution made to Send Relief, the disaster relief arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, directly helps crews on the ground who are serving in communities devastated by natural disasters, children and adults in poverty, and other needs such as refugee care and crisis response.
If you are already trained and have credentials to serve with SBC Disaster Relief, you are ready to be assigned to a work area and begin serving with the thousands of Southern Baptists already on the ground! If you are not trained, but would like to learn more about serving with SBC Disaster Relief, learn more below. (City Church will be hosting a training for new volunteers in March 2019).
